A Crise dos Refugiados Sírios na Europa

Abstract

The Civil War in Syria has alarmed de world. Not just because the numbers of deaths caused by the conflict, but also because the large number of people who needs international protection as a consequence of the violent persecutions. In this scenario, the door opening by the national States means more than a political act. It means an act of humanity that can provide the survival of these groups.

Once that the offer of refuge means the increasement of the charges to the governments of the countries who are receiving these refugees, it is necessary to look at the way that this international help has been done. With the intuit of finding ways to guarantee the permanence of this help that’s been given to those who need it, this work will analyze how this help is done.

Not transforming the international support offered to refugees into an unsustainable conduct for the welcoming countries is the key to the reminiscence of the benevolence of the international community. At the same time, it is perceptible that the unequal distribution of refugees on the international scenario may cause great upheavals and prejudices to some countries to the detriment of others.

Based on the analysis of the Syrian refugees’ crisis, mainly on the European continent, this scientific article aims to find and propose reasonable ways to the host countries to offer shelter, in order to make possible the perpetuity of this institute which represents the instrumentalization of humanity and the solidarity of States.
